Oak Ridge National Lab ran a molten salt reactor for 4 years starting in 1965. It worked. Then politics happened. Nixon wanted plutonium for bombs. Thorium doesn't make bombs. Thorium lost.

Imagine mom and pop shops with electricity bills of $4/month. Imagine desalination plants turning the ocean into drinking water for pennies. Imagine not setting the atmosphere on fire to charge your phone.
This isn't sci-fi. The chemistry works. The engineering works. We just need enough stubborn people to build it.
